for the job as harvester m/f


 

basic requirements:
- You need to be 16 years old at least. 
- You are physical resilient. 
- You are team-minded. 
- You are responsible. 
- You have a good physical condition. 

your field of work: 
- field testing and practical work 
- harvesting with machines in breeding gardens 
- harvesting by hand in breeding gardens 
- seed treatment and sowing preparation 
- cultivation (agronomic workings) 
- quality laboratory 

Please note, that you will work in our breeding gardens (outdoor job!) mostly. 

you require: 
- headdress 
- sun cream (provided)
- weather-proof clothing (heat: light, long-sleeved shirt, cold: long-sleeved clothing)
- sturdy shoes
- food and drinks (water provided) 

You should not afflicted with a sun-, pollen- or dust allergy.

letter of acceptance / letter of refusal for the job as harvester
We would inform you via Email, if we could offer you a job as harvester.
Therefore please check your Email-account regularly.

 

accommodation 
If required, spare beds in 2-bed-rooms are available for free.
Current and water are for free too.
As consideration you assure the carefully and tidily usage of the rooms and shared facilities (bath, kitchen, living room). 
The rooms have functional furniture (bed, chair, wardrobe). Bedding and linen are available and lendable on bail.
The common room has TV and sofa.
The kitchen is completed with cooker, fridge, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, microwave, tableware and pots.
W-LAN is not available. 

As deposit for apartment key you have to advance a sum of 10,- € / per key.
As deposit for free usage of apartments and whose cleanliness you have to advance a sum of 50,- €.
On return of the keys and on tidily return of apartment both deposits will returned to you.
 
meals 
You are responsible for yourself.
Microwaves for reheating your food are available in break room. 

your first working day
Your first working day is heavily dependent on weather and maturity of plants. Owing to these circumstances your first working day do not accord with you desired date.
In case of time shifting we would offer a later date for your first working day.

Please arrive at 6:50 o`clock for work plan. 

With our letter of acceptance you will receive a Personnel Status Report. 
Please complete it and return it via Email to nordsaat@nordsaat.de promptly.
If we won`t receive your completed Personnel Status Report we won`t be able to settle your salary.

pupil`s holiday work 
For pupil`s holiday work we need a certificate of school attendance.
Please send this certificate together with Personnel Status Report in advance.

student`s work
For student`s work we need a confirmation of enrolment.
Please send this certificate together with Personnel Status Report in advance.

working time
There are standardized working hours from 07:00 a.m. until 04:00 p.m. .

But our working is heavily dependent on weather.

 

Partly is your willingness for shift working necessary, regarding to child labor law.


smoking
Generally smoking is forbidden on premises and during working hours. 
But smoking is permitted within your breaks and in specially designated zones only (fire danger).

employment safety 
On your first working day we will start with health and safety instructions.

rain day during outdoor working 
If we are not able to employ you on a rainy day, we would contact you via SMS until 6:30 a.m. .

disease 
In case of disease please contact and inform secretariat via telephone +49 3941 669111 until 7:00 a.m..

health insurance for foreign harvester
Please arrange a travel health insurance on your own.

last working day 
Please give written notice of departure to secretariat.
You will receive forms when starting job.
This procedure is important to settle your salary immediately.

mobile phone 
For safety reasons please carry your mobile phone always with you.
A telephone call is allowed during your breaks only.
During working hours please switch your mobile phone to silent modus.

salary
We guarantee German minimum wage.

withdrawals 
If you want to withdraw your application, please inform us until 30 April.
