Agrarproduktivgenossenschaft Derenburg-Heimburg eG is located in the gently undulating and hilly landscape of northern Harz foreland between Halberstadt and Wernigerode in the Harz district, in the Saxony-Anhalt state.

This diversified landscape on the lee side of the boulders is characterised by continental climate with low rainfall on an average.

On this area winter barely, winter wheat, winter rape and sugar beet are cultivated.
Over and above that the cooperative provides Nordsaat Saatzucht GmbH approx. 40 ha for breeding garden.

Agrarproduktivgenossenschaft Derenburg-Heimburg eG was restructured in spring 2017. Present members of the cooperative are Claus-Henning von Rhade, Nordsaat Agrar GmbH as well as Nordsaat Holding GmbH.

The facility primarily focuses on the cultivation of winter wheat, winter barley, triticale, winter rape and sugar beet.
