Gutsverwaltung Granskevitz

The Granskevitz estate management is the old parent company of Nordsaat. Nordsaat was founded here by Mr Karl von Schultz, in 1910.

In 1991, Nordsaat re-acquired this facility. Today, it closely unites agriculture and breeding with each other.

The consolidated facility is located to the west of Rügen Island between the Trent and Schaprode localities.

The region is characterised by maritime climate with an exceptionally dry spring.

Extreme values are recorded due to wind and sunny hours.

The facility has a cereal storage capacity of 15,000 tons and is equipped with a modern seed processing machine.

Winter wheat, winter barley and summer cereals are bred.

The facility is closely connected with the seed breeding station and provides a breeding garden area of approximately 25 ha every year.
